2. Overview

This website is purely informational. There is no contact form, no user accounts, no advertising and no tracking or marketing cookies. No social media content is embedded, and fonts are served from this website's own server.

Below you will find which data is nevertheless processed when you visit, for what purpose, and what rights you have.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open a page, technical data sent by your browser is processed automatically: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer URL, and browser and operating system.

This data is required to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation).

The data may be transferred to the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so this transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

4. Audience measurement with Vercel Web Analytics

To understand which pages are visited and how often, I use Vercel Web Analytics. The service sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

It records the page visited, the referring page, the country, and browser, operating system and device type. To tell visits apart, a hash is derived from the request data and discarded after 24 hours. The IP address is not stored, and you cannot be identified.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous visitor statistics). The provider is Vercel (see section 3).

5. Cookies

This website uses only one strictly necessary cookie: “NEXT_LOCALE” stores the language you chose (German, English or French) so that you see the website in your language. It is a session cookie and is deleted when you close your browser.

As this cookie is strictly necessary for the language selection you requested, no consent is required (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No other cookies are set.

6. Fonts

The font used is served directly by this website. Your browser does not connect to Google or any other third party for it.

7. Contact by phone, email or WhatsApp

If you contact me, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, phone number, email address, content of your enquiry) to answer your enquiry and carry out an assignment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under tax law) apply.

WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. Clicking the WhatsApp link opens WhatsApp, which together with Meta processes data under its own terms, including in the USA. If you prefer not to use it, you can reach me by phone or email.

8. Links to external services

The website contains links to LinkedIn and WhatsApp. These are plain links, not embedded plugins. Data is only transferred once you click a link, at which point the respective provider's privacy policy applies.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20) regarding your personal data.

You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
